From the plethora of banal and vacuous spiritual platitudes flying around the internet about Radha Ma, we have concluded that a moronic level of pseudo Love & Light posturing is becoming all persuasive, hence this little missive.
BEWARE of the likes of Alan Jacobs (he almost died a pathetic death of neglect at Radha's hand whilst living in Tiru 5 years ago) who proclaims the gospel of Advaita from the pulpit of that North London uptight gentleman's club, the hopelessly misguided Ramana Maharshi Society. His deeply dualistic, one-sided perspective attempts to hush up the nasty and sordid misdemeanours under the surface. Perhaps the most "insincere aspirant" is Jacobs himself, who peddles the respectability of his own views, minus the darker side of the same reality which he scorns as "slanders" made by "unscrupulous persons".
... Also Papaji Policewoman in collusion with Richard Clarke (Richard Arunachala, yawn, vomit!) who has churned out the most dire, sycophant commentary you have ever seen in your life on the "amazing, beautiful time" of Radha Ma's questionable end.
Meanwhile there is the incontrovertible evidence that Radha Ma was not some divine Saint but flirting with the dangerous and wholly unnecessary practices of entity worship and tantrism (dodgy real estate deals too!) as part of her nefarious claim that she was enlightened.
Dualism splits reality: good versus evil. It takes one side of the equation and rails against its opposite. But non-dualism goes beyond this conceptual, moral framework. What happened to Radha Ma reminds us that reality is a mixture of light and dark, good and bad. The two can never be divorced.
So who has the courage to get their hands a little dirty and see through this sanitized Love & Light confection of reality that always stops short of leaping into the abyss? Can we go further than saying Radha was either a saint or a demon?
Putting anyone up on a pedestal to this extent makes the mistake that the guru is ultimately real. But this reinforces separation and is entirely "missing the mark" (the original Aramaic definition of sin!) What you see before you is simultaneously real and unreal (it is and it isn't!). The guru is therefore NOT totally existent.
Geddit?! All we can say in exasperation is ... "JESUS WEPT!"

Jesus conversed a lot with the so called Spirit(God)
ReplyDeleteIt's always safe to quote God ,now isn't it?Dare not say He spoke with an entity although he might have!
As soon as it's an entity it appears to be all wrong, everything becomes dark and evil, we should shun ourselves of this...
May I weep now??What the hell is wrong with entities? What's wrong with ectoplasma, why do we always prefer the poo-machine that we call our bodies?
It reads like a page of Finnegans wake, beautiful but wasted on the masses of hungry seekers for truth, or just plain gossip, which might be the same anyway!
ReplyDeleteJoyce was very tired after Ulysses, wich is a thing you might have in common, since a professional chi ting writer might also need a bit of massage to release the tension, hehehe,
ReplyDeleteas I stated, always at the boots of the master!
An amazing beautiful time? ... EXTERMINATE!!!
ReplyDeleteCan we not all face the possibility that this poor woman, Radha Ma was sadly unhinged?!
ReplyDeleteRichard Clarke with his cliches and platitudes. The poor fool has little insight; just trotting out the same old sentimental drool!
All these , false, deluded teachers! The whole scene has become sad and corrupted!
The only sign of hope is stick to Ramana Maharshi who always was and is the 'gold standard'!
I do not really care if Radha was Bipolar, Tripolar or just an ordinairy Polarbear, or was involved in Tantric or any other practice,( i vote for the polar bear, fat, dazed and confused) it is lightyears away from Ramana, Arunachala and why i am here.
ReplyDeleteI just do not understand how people adorate and become devoted to people like her ( and Mooji and spermaman and the rest), it is so obvious that they are openly cheated and actually i don't really fucking care if they want to be cheated and stupid
Which reminds me of the documentary " Stupidity", where it is explained that it is "cool" to be stupid and fraudulent and "silly" to be intelligent and honest.
You just have to watch 5 minutes TV to confirm that !!!
In spiritism and occultism there are many samples of materialisations, spirits and strange unscientific phenomena created by MIND, ectoplasma, poltergeist, dancing tables, Alan Jacobs, Papaji Policewoman etc. etc.... although the spiritists might claim something else.
But, yes they seem to be as real as the world as we know it is created by that same mind.
Let Jesus weep, or laugh what does it matter, "love and light" is not different from "hate and darkness".
Chi-Ting Master, the last lines of your editorial smell,as usual with this Lucknow crowd,of this kind of dishonesty where one blurts out thoughts which are not coming from real experience.Until one is Self-Realized,one has to take the Guru for real, and have a dualistic attitude towards Him/ Her,because one cannot do otherwise. If the Guru is a genuine one and the disciple a serious one, hopefully eventually one will come to experience Advaita.Just to finish about Radha's death commentaries, let me release a platitude that came to me this morning:Instead of burning her ego with the Fire of Wisdom, she chose to burn her body with the fire of kerosene...
ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Becoming: A guru is not necessary for enlightenment. If realisation is going to happen, it will happen anyway and is under no-one's control. Some people go to a guru and some do not. There is no difference between them and the guru is not the cause of enlightenment.
ReplyDeleteI think Mr Becoming didn't understand the post! Sri Sri said the guru is not ultimately real, not that you shouldn't go to a guru. It's the guru's claim that they are enlightened which is the problem. As long as you realise the guru has no power to enlighten you and they are not really there - that this is just a stage - there's no problem with going to see one. But the danger is getting stuck in really believing the guru is self-realised and that via them, if you just try hard enough for long enough, you will get enlightened too. You won't!
ReplyDeleteRadha's husband has initiated legal action against the Gang of Three. Whatever happened, the self-immolation was deliberate not accidental. The consequences for all of them could be very serious.
ReplyDeleteI was also a little puzzled by the last lines, because that is exactly how i feel sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIf God,Self, Guru and devotee are one and if that unity is simultaneously real and unreal and we therefore are not totally existent, i can only conclude that we maybe exist.
I can confirm that, i always thought it was a kind of surpressed madness in myself, but now the clouds have lifted and i am standing naked in the blazing sun of Awareness and sister Klaus will shine forever as a Maybe.
Does that count as self-realisation ?
We do exist. But we are empty. So there is nothing absolute or ultimate there. That is what "no I" or "no self" means!
ReplyDeleteOf course you are enlightened Sister. We all, always, were.
After the recent quake in Japan the earth has shifted on its axis by 10cm. The Chile quake on 2 March also shifted earth's axis by 8cm. These movements affect all of us and those who cannot sustain them do not stay here.
ReplyDeleteSister K, I'm afraid not. But for a good sum of money and some sexual favours I can finish it off for you.
ReplyDeleteErr ... Sister at first I thought you'd had another one of your 'Lederhosen and Chain' parties, where you take those little purple psycho pills and manacle yourself to the ceiling and start babbling in tongues!
ReplyDeleteThen mysteriously I was overtaken by a strange moment of beatitude and profound is-ness. Err ... am somewhat spaced out right now, got any advice?
Your old mate H.H.Kevinandaji
My advice as a beginning Guru is ... stay put in that state of profound spaced-out-beingness, you have arrived, give up all hope of being normal again, welcome to the self-realized Lederhosen club .....I will soon be unveiling plans for the Sister's MAYBE-SANG, only nubile sexy boys and girls with $500 to blow need apply.
ReplyDeleteNext season I'm gonna really put the bang into Satsang!
This morning I spoke with a woman who was very close with Radha a few years ago and she confirmed more or less what we know, but said she knew nothing of black magic and other insane stuff going on there. She said that Radha was kind of psychotic, one moment very sweet, the next unreasonably angry, she left her about a year ago. She knew Faisal who was there and she said that he wanted to become a sanyasin and wanted to stay with Radha, but she sent him away, telling him he was not ready for that, so it seems Faisal is a bit of a liar.
ReplyDeleteThe hard and fast rule that a Guru is not needed is not necessarily true.
ReplyDeleteIf you think of Ramana Maharshi's ripe devotees like Kunju Swami, Annamalai Swami and Belarama Reddy - at the start they made 'headway' and then thought they could do it alone. Finally they had to admit life without Ramana was no life at all and they came back to sit at his feet.
Stll I do agree a rare one needs no Guru or perhaps not a Guru in human form.
Whatever your path, discrimination is needed.
Kevji didn't say there is a hard and fast rule. He said the opposite: that some people need a guru, some don't. He said the guru is not absolutely existent, so they don't have the power they claim to enlighten people. Awakening/liberation is a question of Grace ...
ReplyDeleteI am in Tiru because of the presence of Arunachala and the samadhi in the Ramana ashram. Not really because of any teachings... Actually, I don't really care about any teachings, especially spiritual, it's just food for the ...mind, no real, essential transformation.
ReplyDeletePresence, grace. That's what REALLY transforms...
Some say grace is needed or effort and devotion are needed, guru is needed. Ramana says "Instead of indulging in mere speculation, devote yourself here and now to the search for the Truth that is ever within you"
ReplyDeleteI hear Mooji's entry fee per person has now gone up from one pound to eight pounds in England as reported by friends. They also reported feeling some sort of peace as Mooji came into the room. They were happy customers.
ReplyDeleteWe are all customers. Now we also consume spirituality for a price.
These gurus are making a tidy profit!
Some thought of Radha Ma as wise, as kind, a loving person, a spiritual person, a teacher, a guide, a guru. They thought of her as above the human plane and now she has perpetrated a violent and vicious act of very human self destruction against the body and the life that was given to her by nature. She knew this act would confuse and hurt many people lightly or heavily. Do we have the courage to see this for what it is, or will we hide behind ideas like “liberation” and “you are not the body”.
ReplyDeleteSince Radha’s death some people have commented that her act of suicide cannot be judged. One said “enlightened ones act without concepts and constraints”. To dress up the act of suicide in spiritual clothing is dangerous. It can influence others who may be in a fragile, confused state of mind.
Will we use this event to confront ourselves and the way we choose our gurus, or will we simply maintain our cherished and comfortable model of the world and choose another guru who looks good, sounds good, seems to be above the human plane and makes us feel good (“soothes” us)? Same same.
When we look at this event and the life and actions of Radha, we will see only what we are ready to see. No more and no less. A wise teacher once said “The first step to enlightenment is a firm grasp of the obvious”.
What have we learnt and how will we use it in our lives?
Dear cowered Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteWho is hiding behind a laptop screen not having the guts to convey who u r or the name of the woman u spoke too.
You said:
"Faisal who was there and she said that he wanted to become a sanyasin and wanted to stay with Radha, but she sent him away, telling him he was not ready for that, so it seems Faisal is a bit of a liar."
Sure Radha would tell everyone that she kicked me out that is not a surprise, as I have been told that b4. The facts r different. I was staying in Delhi & She Traveled all the way by car from Macloadganj to pick up Ammar from the airport for the first meeting & as usual we clashed big time as it seems I'm the only one who was able to confront her face to face on a consistent bases & all her devotees witnessed that. That clash was the final I told her IT IS OVER & I don't want any communication with you anymore. But when Ammar arrived she kept calling & calling wanting me to join them & I refused, she even had others call me to answer her calls.
Eating humans bones to achieve a certain goal doesn't go under black magic ?? Repeating over & over again while crying "U don't know what they will do to me if I don't obey them", referring to nonphysical powers isn't being controlled be those entities. Talking a lot about how nonphysical beings bother her all the time & even push her & causes a knee break doesn't this count?? & many others facts that I have no interest to share.
She was not "psychotic" but a sociopath.read below:
Here is a full description of a "sociopath" that would ring as true for those who really knew her closely & are not here just gossiping & memorizing the stories of others about Radha without any real direct experience.
ReplyDelete* Glibness and Superficial Charm.
* Manipulative and Cunning. They never recognize the rights of others
and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.
* Grandiose Sense of Self. Feels entitled to certain things as "their
right."
* Pathological Lying. Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.
* Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt. A deep seated rage, which is split
off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
* Shallow Emotions. When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love
and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining
unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.
* Incapacity for Love.
* Need for Stimulation. Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and
physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.
* Callousness/Lack of Empathy. Unable to empathize with the pain of
their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and
readily taking advantage of them.
* Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature. Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim.
Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.
* Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency. Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others.
Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as
cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.
* Irresponsibility/Unreliability. Not concerned about wrecking others'
lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they
cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.
* Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity. Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.
* Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle. Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.
* Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility. Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.
* Does not perceive that anything is wrong with them.
* Authoritarian.
* Secretive.
* Paranoid.
* Only rarely in difficulty with the law, but seeks out situations where their tyrannical behavior will be tolerated, condoned, or admired.
* Goal of enslavement of their victim(s).
* Exercises despotic control over every aspect of the victim's life.
* Has an emotional need to justify their crimes and therefore needs
their victim's affirmation (respect, gratitude and love).
* Ultimate goal is the creation of a willing victim.
* Unable to feel remorse or guilt.
* Extreme narcissism and grandiose.
* May state readily that their goal is to rule the world.
There are a lot of Gurus who fit these criteria, it is a real beauty parade of vice!
ReplyDeleteDear Chi - Ting Master and All,
ReplyDeleteI am from Beirut, Lebanon and very devoted to Sri Ramana and always wanted to go to Tiru... Somehow the translated words of Sri Ramana into arabic made smthg snap within me which made me take the decision to jump and go there.
I never had the chance to meet Radha but we spoke on facebook a few weeks back from now but two days before I left to Tiru she said she had to leave to Hyderabad to take care of a sick friend (perhaps for my best, God only knows...)
@ Faisal: she spoke a lot of good words about you and said that you are very knowledgeable and also something about your relation to the translation work in a way which was filled with gratitude but without mentioning your part in the play and without telling me that you helped in the translation work. She also said that I should contact you but she couldn't remember your last name...
As for my trip to Tiru, did the whole deal and met a lot of teachers there experienced hell and grace and all the peak experiences you have in mind but nothing was quite awakening or purifying as the mountain itself... I've Found out what I needed not what I wanted and realized more than ever that "the guru is inside." But the paradox is that I had to go to Arunachala to realize That ;-)
@ Dear Chi Ting Master, I rarely do read any guru/teaching bashing material but I must admit that you are one hell of a good writer and blogs like yours should exist... People should see both sides of the coin. Thank you!!!
@ Dear Radha Giridhar: Rest in peace and thank you for your part in the translation of Sri Ramana's works into arabic.
Love,
Ananda
Faisal,
ReplyDeleteNow what do you try to achieve with making Radha, a person you said you love in a way, as black as possible.
What good does it do, who or what will benefit by it, except you, this can only be understood by labeling it REVENGE.
What terrrible thing did she do to you.
You are the only one till know who mentions these things, as i said before only after her dead , there was a lot of talk about Radha the last years on this blog, you could have shared some of you "experiences" with her, warn people of the danger, but you didn't, why, where you afraid for what she would do to you, then be aware that in your world of demons and ghosts, the death are able to do even worse things to you, they will drive you insane.
So you never had anything to do translation work, so this very nice person from Lebanon Ananda is also a liar.
I get the feeling that your description of a sociopath is more or less your own biography.
Next time please go to some more sentational blog or newspaper with your stories, where people believe that crap is truth.
And as i said before to a Michael, mentioning your name doesn't make you more credible then others.
I heard through the grapevine: Fake Gurus not only cause harm to the ignorant devotees while in the limelight, but also when they are fallen. I know of a yound man who was caught up with Swami N., and he was working in a good company overseas, he used to come back to Bangalore once a month just to listen to one or two 'discourses' of Swami N. After knowing the story of this fallen guru, he is now suffering from depression and has to have medical attention. Such seekers feel they've laid bets on the wrong horse. Their trust levels were high. When met with disappointment, their sufferings are also intense.
ReplyDeleteananda99:
ReplyDeleteDear don't be fooled by honey coated words. Most know the weaknesses of the seeker & lay their nets thru these cracks. I'm happy for you that you realized that the guru is within & makes sense to you now.
Concerning the Arabic translation you have to know it is said & confirmed that the Very English translation itself is neither reliable nor accurate as per many highly educated Tamil devotees & when they came up to Ramana Ashram's president he admitted it & claimed that the English books are all over the world & there is nothing he can do "which is total crap" if he was sincere he would take action. So translating from a non accurate non reliable English translation to Arabic is even going more astray.
Sister:
U r repeating urself. Try something new & fresh that is worth a response.
One last post to make things clearer.
ReplyDelete@Faisal: I wanted to send my interaction with Radha concerning yourself to your mail but it doesn't seem to be available on your blog. I see no harm in sharing this msg here (since the content is positive in all ways...) but If it's illegal to share such a message in public I'd appreciate it dear Kevji if you don't approve this post in advance.
The FBK message which was sent from my part has been deleted a long time back. Found her reply in my email inbox. We were speaking about the translated works and about some stuff I read about her on the net.
Here's her answer:
February 13, 2011
Quoting Radha:
"Dear,
Whatever you wrote from the internet all are not correct information. Anyway it does not matter. I have stopped meeting people long back in 2006. It opened once for a guy from Lebanon and all these books are due to his opening of our front gate. He too lives in Beirut. His name is Faisal. Unfortunately I do not have his email or phone number. He is very knowledgeable. He had been to India few times. I try to get his phone number through his brother.
I do not see myself as a guru or an insturment for others' enlightenment. Whatever happens, it is Grace.
End of quote."
No offense to anyone, but I'd appreciate it if the content of my posts are not used against others or copied else where other than here.
Love,
Ananda
Repeating some statements might be useful for people who persist in their stubborness.
ReplyDeleteBut even then, on some people it is totally wasted.
If they want to stay in that state , it is fine for me and a wish them all the best.
Case closed.
Sister Klaus has written to Steve the chemically challenged supremo of Manna Cafe, to inform him that the Sister wants to become his Facebook enemy. So far the drunken lump has been to cowardly to accept the challenge!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that Steve is at present performing one of his high priest witchcraft rituals with two witches he dug up in Thiruvannamalai. As far as my knowledge goes they have been spending the night at a Kali statue, somewhere just outside Thiru...marking their territory by spreading urine from nearby trees and praying for mankind to reverse Armageddon and the powers of the New World Order!
ReplyDeleteDogs piss on trees ...
ReplyDeleteIt is well known that the English translations of Ramana's words are appalling. And a lot of the more controversial things that Ramana said have been edited out. For example, words to the effect that even if you have lustful thoughts/commit adultery, just remember there is no-one there doing it; it is the Self. It's rather tiring how such nauseous Christian Westerners then go around preaching the gospel as though they know and even understand Ramana's teachings. They seem to think Ramana was all nicey nicey. This is just arrogance, conceit and deep misunderstanding. Texts are always political: and judging by some of the pompous, self-serving idiots who were around Ramana, it would be better to leave the books about him well alone!
ReplyDeletefake gurus, stupid seekers,arrogant westerners
ReplyDeleteWhat about pompous Indians!
ReplyDelete
